Mya Brew

Mya Brew is a brewery founded by two former nurses. The representative is Mariko Fujiwara, and the brewing manager is Sachi Matsumoto. Both were born and raised in Nagoya, and they were originally drinking buddies.

The starting point was when Matsumoto was traveling on a working holiday through Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and was shocked after discovering a homebrewing kit in Australia. After returning to Japan, she trained for a year and a half at Izumi Brewery in Tokyo and also obtained a sake brewing license.

Fujiwara had a dream: "Someday, I want to open a place that serves the beer Satchan makes." First, in 2018, the two of them opened BeerBar Marble together and gained experience in restaurant management. Through a CAMPFIRE crowdfunding campaign, they raised more than 7.7 million yen from 482 supporters against a goal of 4 million yen, and opened the brewery in 2023.

Imaike. One of Nagoya's deepest, most characterful drinking districts, packed with bars full of personality. Inside the pop interior with eye-catching emerald green accents, you can see the 500-liter tanks in the back. It has a great atmosphere that makes it easy for women to drop in alone.

They're full-on Nagoya dialect. Things like "Nigya IPA," "Dera Saison," the Belgian White "Doerya Coriander," the fruit ale "Suppyaa Kabosu," and the coconut stout "Coco☆Kuro." More recently, they've also released "Momiji IP.A," an IPA made with hops grown using leaf mold from fallen leaves collected in the Aichi Korankei area of Asuke, brewing beer that connects with the local landscape.

They've also released collaborative beers like the Hazy IPA "Free Bird" with Whitecrow from Korea and Nomcraft from Wakayama, so they actively engage with breweries in Japan and abroad. Since many beers are available at brewery prices for under 900 yen for an M size, it's also a great spot for easy beer tasting.
