Two kegs, one return

Mya Brew, a brewery-bar with its own brewing equipment in the Imaike area of Chikusa Ward, Nagoya, has announced a two-keg-only pour of a smoothie sour ale that drew a strong response during its anniversary celebration. Even with such a small allocation, the beer is being brought back because it resonated with drinkers the first time around.

Founded in 2023, Mya Brew is a microbrewery known for brewing on site and serving the beer directly from the taproom. Sour-driven beers are a core part of its lineup, and the name itself comes from the Nagoya dialect word “mya,” giving the brewery a distinctly local identity.

Smoothie sour ales are valued for their fruit-forward character and the balance between sweetness and acidity. In that sense, this release fits neatly with Mya Brew’s approach: small-scale, style-focused, and closely tied to what the brewery’s regulars actually enjoy. Because it is limited to just two kegs, it is the kind of beer that disappears quickly once word gets around.
