Hop BroThe kitchen in Meieki became too small, so they built a new factory in Nishi Ward at about three times the size. Now this is their main brewing base.
MugiThree times bigger! Does that mean it was so popular they couldn’t keep up with production?
Hop BroExactly. And the appeal here is the taproom attached to the brewery, where the brewery staff pour all eight draft beers directly for you.

Hop BroPEOPLE, an India Pale Lager, tastes especially great here. It has the crisp finish of a lager with the hop character of an IPA, making it a great beer for craft beer beginners too.
MugiThe drinkability of a lager plus the personality of hops... it gives you the best of both worlds!
Hop BroI also recommend Yellow Sky Pale Ale, which uses yuzu peel. It’s a sister version of Purple Sky, a pale ale with a Japanese twist. They also sell it in cans, so it makes a nice souvenir.
