Miura Brewery

Miura Brewery is in Misaki, at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula, and it’s a brewery you can stay overnight at.

They have an accommodation called "Tap Inn MIURA" right next door, and it’s limited to just three groups per day. Every room has its own beer tap, so you can drink their house beer during your stay. The representative, Tetsuya Komatsu, loves marine sports, and he wanted to offer the whole experience itself, saying that craft beer after getting out of the sea is truly exceptional.

The beer itself is seriously impressive too. "MIURA Coast IPA" has 6% alcohol and an IBU of 44, with a firm bitterness, and it won gold at the 2025 Japan Great Beer Awards. "MISAKI Maguro Amber" is a 5.5% amber ale that won gold at the International Beer Cup 2025, and also took silver at JBC 2026, making it a double award winner.

That’s because Misaki is one of Japan’s major tuna port towns. It’s an amber ale designed to pair with tuna dishes. "MIURA Golden Ale" is 4.5% and won silver in 2024, and "MIURA Island Wheat" is 5% and won bronze in 2024. All four regular beers have won awards.

They also brew seasonal limited-edition beers using local produce in season, including fruit beers made with Miura melon and mandarin oranges. They’re committed to expressing Miura’s ingredients through beer, even using wheat cultivated in partnership with a local bakery.

They also welcome dogs and have terrace seating. They opened in November 2023, so they’re still a young brewery, but with their award streak and the stay-at-a-brewery concept, they’re becoming a presence that’s reshaping tourism on the Miura Peninsula.
