Miura Brewery is a craft brewery based at the southern tip of the Miura Peninsula in Miura City, Kanagawa. On its official site, the brewery presents beers inspired by the local coast and seasonal produce, and it also highlights food pairings at its taproom with Misaki tuna and Miura vegetables.

The new Instagram post focuses on a refresh of MIURA Island Wheat, the brewery's regular beer inspired by the waters around Jogashima. Until now, the beer has used home-grown, pesticide-free wheat from Mitsumugi, a popular bakery in Miura City, to create fine white foam and a soft mouthfeel. This time, Mitsumugi's baguette is also being used as an ingredient.

According to the post, the bakery's bread has a rich wheat aroma and a toasted fragrance that comes through as you bite into it. The goal is not only to upcycle the baguette, but also to bring out more flavor in the beer itself. In other words, the recipe has been rebuilt to balance sustainability with taste.

Brewing is now underway, and the beer is scheduled to be unveiled in early August. It is a local collaboration that brings together Miura's baking and brewing culture in a single glass.
