Devil Craft Tokyo Brewery

Devil Craft Tokyo Brewery is a brewery started in Kanda in 2011 by three Americans - John, Mike, and Jason.

The three of them were friends who had all been into homebrewing in the U.S. and hit it off after meeting in Japan. At first, they opened a craft beer and Chicago-style deep-dish pizza shop in Kanda.

In 2015, they obtained a brewing license in Shinagawa and began brewing in-house. And just one year after starting production, they won gold in the British Imperial Stout category at the 2016 World Beer Cup with a beer called "Arch Devil."

They kept going after that too. In 2019, "Devil Juice" won silver in the IPA category at the Japan Brewers Cup; at the 2024 World Beer Cup, "Black Igneous" won gold in the oatmeal stout category; and in 2025, "The Devil in John's Brown" won silver in the American brown ale category.

They brew in small batches several days a week and finish their beers unfiltered. They also often release experimental beers using seasonal fruit and rare ingredients. In addition to their directly operated locations in Kanda, Hamamatsucho, and Gotanda, they also opened a new Kanda location called The Corner, and you can always find 7 to 9 of their house-brewed beers on tap.

That's right, and an American Amber too. The fast pace of new releases is part of what makes this place so appealing. Once you try the combination of Chicago pizza and imperial stout, you won't go back.
