DevilCraft Tokyo Brewery previews five beers for Shimodabrewing TTO
On August 4, DevilCraft Tokyo Brewery shared the beer lineup for Shimodabrewing’s tap takeover. Ahead of the August 8 service, one tap was changed from a Hazy IPA to Coconut Stout, bringing the list to five beers.
DevilCraft Tokyo Brewery, which continues to brew small-batch beer in Shinagawa, Tokyo, posted photos tied to Shimodabrewing’s tap takeover. The post also noted that a previous announcement had not been reflected properly, and this update was shared as a corrected lineup.
The five beers are XPA "Green Room" at 5.0%, West Coast IPA "Zephyr" at 6.2%, Coconut Stout "BLACK WAX" at 4.9%, German Pils "Shimoda Lager" at 5.0%, and Fruited Sour (Smoothie-style) "TYJ" at 3.3%. The biggest change is the swap from a Hazy IPA to Coconut Stout, which should be welcome news for stout fans.
DevilCraft has built its identity around brewing in Tokyo while serving beer across its pub network. This lineup shows a broad range, from crisp and hoppy to dark and dessert-like, making the tap takeover feel more like a full spectrum tasting than a one-note release. Starting with the XPA and finishing with the stout would make for a clean progression on the day.
