Novel Craft Brewing

Novel Craft Brewing in Takaido, Suginami has all its beer names based on musical terms. The shop name, "reverb," means reverberation, and there is a turntable on the counter.

Their standard saison, "Looper," the Belgian pale ale "Tremolo," and the dark lager "filter"... all of them are named after effects pedals and recording techniques. You can really tell they are made by a brewer who loves music.

It's a sister location of the popular beer bar "Novel Craft" in Chitose-Karasuyama, and they started brewing on site in Takaido in 2024. It's a brewpub style with a glass wall behind the counter so you can see the brewing equipment.

Another hallmark is the large number of saison-style beers. "Over Dub" and "Spiral" are also saisons. In a recent post, they even released a limited beer called "Phase 3," and on some days the tap list apparently has eight beers.

It's a 4-minute walk from Takaido Station, and on Fridays it opens at 5:00 PM. On March 28, they're also planning a 7-beer tap takeover at SANITY in Sangenjaya, so there may be another chance to drink their beers outside the brewery.
