Mya Brew, a self-brewing brewery in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya, has opened a new beer called Star Sand from Southern Cross.

The beer is described as an NZ-style Hazy IPA built with generous amounts of Nelson Sauvin and Riwaka. According to the brewery’s post, it is meant to be the kind of beer you want to drink in the summer: bright, tropical, and layered with fresh citrus and herbal notes. The spec sheet is straightforward as well, with 6.5% ABV and 16 IBU, pointing to a beer that should balance aromatic hop character with a clean, easy-drinking finish.

Mya Brew is located in Nagoya’s Chikusa Ward, near the Imaike area, and is known for serving its own house-brewed beers on site. In the same post, the brewery also listed several draft beers on tap that day, underscoring the taproom’s everyday role as a place to explore a rotating range of styles.

The lineup included beers such as GOse WOMEN and Eight-Star Apple, showing Mya Brew’s interest in acidity, fruit character, and lighter, drinkable profiles. Within that context, Star Sand from Southern Cross looks like another addition to the brewery’s hop-forward lineup.
