Brasserie Knot Supports T.Y. HARBOR Brewery's Equipment Upgrade, and Collaboration Beer "HARBOR" Also Debuts
Brasserie Knot in Tsurui Village, Hokkaido, reported on Instagram that it helped update the brewing equipment at T.Y. HARBOR Brewery in Tennozu Isle. A system based on the equipment it uses itself was introduced with improvements, and the March seasonal beer "HARBOR" was also born from this connection.
The craft brewery Brasserie Knot, based in Tsurui Village in Hokkaido, adjacent to the Kushiro Wetland, announced on Instagram that it had helped support the equipment upgrade at T.Y. HARBOR Brewery in Tennozu Isle, Tokyo. According to the post, the newly introduced equipment has the same configuration as what Brasserie Knot actually uses, and it was customized while incorporating improvements based on the company’s operational experience as well as input from the on-site brewers.
Brasserie Knot is a brewery located in Tsurui Village, near the Kushiro Wetland, in a former elementary school, the old Shimosetsuri Elementary School, which has been renovated into a brewery. On its official website, it describes itself as "a brasserie that harmonizes with people, culture, and nature," and its beers are designed to accompany meals and different occasions without pushing their individuality too strongly. This initiative can also be seen as an extension of that stance to another brewery.
The post also mentions that this connection led to the March seasonal beer "HARBOR". The barrels have already sold out, while cans are still in stock. It is striking that support for equipment and beer making were connected and took shape as a collaboration.
It also introduces the impressive view of the brewing equipment from the attached cafe BREWS Brewery & Roastery, highlighting the high quality of the visitor experience as one of T.Y. HARBOR Brewery's attractions. The post also makes clear that Brasserie Knot is not only a brewery for its own production, but also a presence that shares knowledge in equipment design and improvement.
