Forest Brewing starts keg sales of HAZY IPL “KAWASEMI II”
Forest Brewing in Kawasaki, Miyagi, announced on Instagram that keg sales of its HAZY IPL “KAWASEMI II” have begun. The beer follows last summer’s well-received release and is being positioned as a food-friendly draft option.
Forest Brewing, based in Kawasaki, Miyagi, has announced the start of keg sales for its HAZY IPL “KAWASEMI II” on Instagram. In the post, the brewery presents the beer as something to enjoy alongside a meal, building on the positive response to the HAZY IPL released last summer.
The brewery is located in a nature-rich area upstream from Kamasawa Dam, where snowmelt from the Zao mountain range flows in. Forest Brewing’s core idea is to make beers that naturally fit with food, from the first toast through to the end of a meal, and this latest announcement follows that same approach.
“KAWASEMI II” is described as a Hazy India Pale Lager with a soft malt sweetness and a slightly firm hop bitterness. Because it is unfiltered, it offers a fuller body, fruity aroma, and a cloudy appearance, making it a draft beer that should work well at the table without overpowering the food.
Forest Brewing’s lineup also includes beers such as Kikorin no Pilsner, Asagiri no Helles, and Komorebi no Pale Ale, each tied to the local landscape and atmosphere. The keg rollout of KAWASEMI II is another example of the brewery’s “firewood and clear water” identity being expressed through a beer built for dining.
