Forest Brewing of Kawasaki, Miyagi, will take part in Maebashi Bar Street 2026, scheduled for October 3–4, 2026, near Maebashi Station in Maebashi, Gunma.
The event will be held around Keyaki-dori, the station-front avenue in Omote-machi 2-chome. It is scheduled to run from 10:00 to 20:30 on both days, with more than 100 food trucks and food stalls expected to gather. Visitors can enjoy a broad selection of dishes, including grilled meats, pizza, and pasta, together with a range of drinks in a pedestrian-friendly festival setting.
Forest Brewing is located in Kawasaki, Miyagi, upstream of the Kamafusa Dam, where snowmelt from the Zao mountain range supplies the area with water. The brewery grew out of a business producing firewood for wood-burning stoves and began brewing in 2023 with the concept of making craft beer with firewood. Wood offcuts are converted into heat through a wood-fired boiler and used to produce the hot water required for brewing.
Its beer range covers both European-style lagers and American-style ales. The lineup includes Kikori Pilsner, known for fresh, grassy hop aromas and a clean bitterness; Komorebi Pale Ale, with gentle citrus-like aromas and a soft finish; and Yuuhi IPA, which combines a firm bitterness with citrus and berry-like aromas.
The specific beers Forest Brewing will serve at the festival have not yet been announced. For beer fans, the event should offer an opportunity to pair food from across the region with craft beer from Kawasaki, Miyagi. Visitors are encouraged to use public transportation, as the venue does not provide a dedicated parking area.
