Forest Brewing in Kawasaki, Miyagi, has updated its Instagram account with a post beginning with a friendly “Hello 😊.” The available post does not specify a beer name, release date, or sales information.

Forest Brewing is located upstream of Kamafusa Dam, an important water source for Sendai, where meltwater from the Zao mountain range flows through the area. The brewery began making craft beer in May 2023 under the concept of brewing beer with firewood.

Its brewing operation is closely connected to its wood business. Offcuts generated at the firewood facility on the same site are used as fuel in a wood-fired boiler, which converts the material into heat for producing the hot water required for brewing. The approach reflects the brewery’s aim to create a new connection between people and forests.

The brewery’s lineup includes the German Pilsner Kikori no Pilsner, Helles-style Asagiri no Helles, Dunkel-style Takibi no Dunkel, and Pale Ale-style Komorebi no Pale Ale. It also produces KAWASEMI, a hazy India pale lager, along with an IPA, hazy IPA, and wheat beers.

Forest Brewing works across both hop-forward ale styles and European lager traditions. Whether the latest Instagram post will lead to a new product or sales announcement has not been confirmed. Further updates are available through the brewery’s official Instagram account and website.
