Tokaido BEER Kawasaki-juku Brewery announces a Mizube de Kanpai 2026 event
Tokaido BEER has announced an event tied to Mizube de Kanpai 2026 together with Waku Waku Pikapika Kawasaki-juku, a local group known for cleanup and community activities around the Kawasaki-juku ruins. The gathering will link a riverfront cleanup with the nationwide 7:07 p.m. toast on July 7.
Tokaido BEER Kawasaki-juku Brewery is a craft brewery on the historic Tokaido road in Kawasaki Ward, Kanagawa. On its official site, the brewery says it aims to let visitors experience Kawasaki's past, present, and future through the scenery and history associated with Tokaido, Kawasaki-juku, barley fields, and factories. That local identity is now being connected to a community event organized with Waku Waku Pikapika Kawasaki-juku.
The event is part of the nationwide Mizube de Kanpai 2026 campaign. Mizube de Kanpai is a participatory action by the Mizbering project, in which people across Japan raise a glass at 7:07 p.m. on July 7 to rediscover the appeal of waterfront spaces. In the Kawasaki-juku announcement, participants will clean up the Tokaido area and the Tama River waterfront, then move to the Rokugo no Watashi-ato site. At 7:07 p.m., they will join the nationwide toast, followed by a commemorative photo and a social gathering.
Attendees are asked to bring their own drinks, although beverages can also be purchased at Tokaido BEER Kawasaki-juku Brewery. First-time participants and solo attendees are welcome. The format is straightforward: neighborhood cleanup, a shared toast, and local exchange in a place that sits close to the history of Kawasaki-juku. For beer fans, it is an event where the brewery's roots in the city and its community role come into focus at the same time.
