Event Overview

Grandline Brewing, a brewery based in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, will host a Half Tap Takeover at Sekimachi Cellar in Nerima, Tokyo on Friday, June 12. The event will be the brewery's first tap opening at the long-established liquor store, which has been operating since the Taisho era.

The venue will be open from 10:00 to 22:00, and a food event titled "Friday? How about this? vol. 9 ~ COKOTACOS" will run alongside it. The taco service is scheduled to start at 15:00. With beer and food planned together, the event is set up for both a quick stop-in and a longer evening visit.

Beer Lineup

A total of four beers are planned for the taps. The lineup includes three IPA releases from Grandline Brewing, plus "SALUD AMIGOS!", a beer selected with tacos in mind. In a Half Tap Takeover format, visitors will be able to compare the beers while enjoying a focused but varied selection.

Members of the brewery, including the owner and KANPAIDAN members, are also expected to attend. That gives the event a direct connection between the brewery and drinkers, rather than making it just another one-off pouring session.

About Grandline Brewing

Grandline Brewing promotes itself as a "glocal" brewery connecting Yokosuka with Japan and the wider world. Its mission is to create memorable beer culture through communication, under the slogan: "Bring more of the best moments of kanpai."

The setting is notable as well. Sekimachi Cellar is a historic liquor store, and Grandline Brewing's appearance there creates a meeting point between a local craft brewery and a long-running neighborhood shop. For beer fans, it should be a straightforward chance to enjoy beer and tacos in a setting that combines history, community, and a limited tap lineup.
