April 7 Daily Special

Yokohama Bay Brewing’s Yokohama Front branch announced its new daily special for Tuesday, April 7: "Yuzu Chicken and Seasonal Vegetable Teppanyaki." The dish features chicken seasoned with yuzu kosho, then grilled on a teppan with new onions, bamboo shoots, and asparagus, and served on the teppan itself. It is a plate you will want to eat while it is still piping hot, and the combination of springtime ingredients stands out.

A Place That Pairs Well with Beer

The shop is the brewery’s directly operated beer pub on the second floor of THE YOKOHAMA FRONT, a short walk from the north west exit of Yokohama Station. Its official site lists 24 draft beers available at all times, making it easy to use for daytime drinking or a quick stop for a drink. The interior has counter seating, and standing drinking is also possible. It is a convenient spot when you want to drink Yokohama’s own beer as the main focus.

Taps of the Day

In that day’s post, the lineup included Yokohama Bay Brewing’s "Bay Pilsner," "Beer Terrace," "Bay Amber," "Bay Dark," "Bay Weiss," "Yuzu Weiss," "Weekend Journey," "Flatland," "Traveler’s," "Uncle Linne," "Freedom," "With Friends," "Pedaling for IPA," "GOOOOOAAAAAL IPA," "Mellow Walk IPA," and "Bay Pilsner (ball tap)." Guest beers included "Peroni," "Pilsner Urquell," "Onmenbroi / Baeren Beer," "Nice Bitter / Minoh Beer," and "Mrs Scarlet / Grandline Brewing."

The selection ranges from lagers to IPAs and bitters, making it easy to choose something that pairs well with the daily teppanyaki. It is a place worth remembering for the easy enjoyment of warm spring dishes paired with the day’s draft beer.
