Forest Brewing (Miyagi) announced in an Instagram post at 1:28 p.m. on March 10, 2026 that it will have a booth at this weekend's "Kotatsu Yatai Festival in Machida." The post noted that this will be the brewery's first participation in the event, and that it will once again take the spotlight at Machida Shibahiro, a venue with ties from the past through the "Oedo Beer Festival."

According to event information from Machida City, Kotatsu Yatai Festival 2026 will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 to Sunday, March 15, 2026, and the venue is Machida Shibahiro (1-20-23 Nakacho, Machida City, Tokyo). The post also mentions "lots of delicious food" and a "forecast of 15°C," suggesting relatively comfortable conditions for an early-spring outdoor event.

Forest Brewing is based in Kawasaki, Miyagi Prefecture, and brews in an area fed by snowmelt from the Zao mountain range. On its official website, the brewery says it is making "craft beer made with firewood," drawing on its firewood production business, and says brewing began in May 2023. While it works across a wide range of styles, including lagers, it has emphasized making products that make use of local resources.

This latest booth appearance looks like an opportunity for the brewery to expand its connections at events in the greater Tokyo area. A chance to face drinkers directly at the event site is a valuable touchpoint for conveying not only the flavor of each label, but also the brewery's background and brewing philosophy. It will be interesting to see how a craft beer from Miyagi adds its presence to Machida's weekend event.
