Nagano Minamikaze Beer has started brewing a commemorative beer planned for its fifth anniversary in December. In a post on its official Instagram account, the brewery shared images of the brewing process and wrote that it was brewing the fifth-anniversary beer for December.
The post does not yet specify the beer style, hops, malt, alcohol content, expected completion date, or serving format. It is therefore too early to describe the beer’s flavor profile or confirm when it will become available. Further information about the release and sales method is expected from the brewery.
Nagano Minamikaze Beer traces its roots to a standing bar founded in Tsurumi, Yokohama, in 2010. The business moved to Nagano City in 2016, where it developed into a venue combining craft beer with charcoal-grilled food and yakitori. In December 2021, it moved to its current location, and it obtained its brewing license in April 2022.
Located about an eight-minute walk from Nagano Station, the brewpub allows guests to enjoy house-made beer while viewing the brewing tanks. The brewery also emphasizes food made with ingredients from Shinshu, including Shinshu salmon and sausages made with lamb from Shinshu-Shinmachi.
The fifth-anniversary beer will mark an important milestone in the brewery’s local history. Beer fans will have to wait for future announcements to learn how the brew will express Nagano Minamikaze Beer’s character.
