Forest Brewing announced on Instagram that it will take part in "Beer Fest Fukushima 2026." The event will be held for three days, from May 29 to 31, at Machinaka Hiroba in Fukushima City, and the official website says admission is free.

The brewery has its brewing facility in Kawasaki, Miyagi Prefecture, and promotes itself as making "craft beer brewed with firewood," a business that grew out of its firewood production operations. According to its official website, it began brewing in May 2023 in Kawasaki, upstream of the Kamafusa Dam, and its distinctive approach connects forests and beer by using offcuts generated during the firewood production process as a heat source.

In the post, the brewery noted that its beers are not yet sold in stores in Fukushima Prefecture, and described them as unfiltered European-style beers made by a brewer who also trained in Germany. For this event, it plans to bring a larger selection of limited items, and says that if you see them, you should enjoy the limited beers poured from the keg.

Forest Brewing offers a distinctive lineup centered on lager styles, including the German pilsner "Lumberjack's Pilsner" and the Helles "Morning Mist Helles." Its participation in an event in Fukushima looks like a good opportunity to experience the brewery's character firsthand.
