The Nara craft brewery Nara Brewing has released information on the first shipment of its German pilsner, "DAYLONG." In its official announcement, it said that it uses malt, hops, and yeast all sourced from Germany. Centered on respect for the style born in Germany, it presents a beer with a grain-forward lightness that is designed to be casually enjoyed throughout the day.

The first shipment announced this time, as of Saturday, March 21, is limited to liquor retailers. In Tokyo, the list includes Caliquors Tokyo, 12e chitofuna, and the Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro Store Plaza Building. In the Kansai area, it includes JR Kyoto Isetan, the B1 Wayo Liquor section at Hanshin Umeda Main Store, and TAKAMURA Wine & Coffee Roasters. Even within Nara Prefecture, there are convenient local options such as Kintetsu Department Store Nara Store Yamatoji, Nishi no Kyo Jizake-dokoro Kitora, Wine no Ojisama, Higashikawa Saketen, Nobori Saketen, and Sake no Abetaya.

At the same time, sales on the Nara Brewing online store are scheduled to begin at noon on Friday, March 27. Delivery dates and inventory levels differ by store, so it is best to confirm with each shop before purchasing.

Nara Brewing, based in Kitanosho Nishimachi, Nara City, has developed a wide range of beers, from core offerings to experimental recipes. This "DAYLONG" is a new release that carefully explores the style’s context and everyday drinkability rather than flashiness, making it a springtime food-pairing candidate worth keeping in mind.
