VERTERE, the brewery and beer café based in Okutama, Tokyo, has released two new mixed packs. The IPA Pack brings together four IPA styles, while the Sour Pack features four sour beers.

The IPA Pack includes Rhoeas, a West Coast IPA; Magnolia, a DIPA; Osmunda, a Hazy IPA; and Iris, a Cold IPA. The selection covers a wide range of IPA expressions, from crisp bitterness and a clean finish to fuller hop intensity and a softer, more aromatic profile. Magnolia, a Double IPA, is positioned as the most substantial option in the set, with a stronger presence of hop aroma, bitterness, and body.

The Sour Pack includes Liponesco, a Black Currant Sour; Nox, a Sour IPA; Pieris, a Lime Sour Saison with mint; and Beta III, a Beets Sour Saison. Liponesco uses pomegranate juice, while Beta III incorporates beets grown in Ome, giving the pack a strong focus on fruit, vegetables, and other distinctive ingredients.

Based in Okutama, VERTERE is known for brewing beers across a broad range of styles and for exploring varied ingredients. In addition to its Okutama taproom, the brewery operates taprooms in Eifuku, Tachikawa, Yokohama, and Daikanyama.

Released on September 4 at noon, the two packs offer an accessible way to compare VERTERE’s approach to both hop-forward IPAs and tart, ingredient-driven sour beers. Drinking the beers side by side should make the differences in aroma, acidity, bitterness, and finish especially clear.
