Nagano Minamikaze Beer is taking part in the 29th National Local Beer Festival in Ichinoseki, held at the plaza in front of Ichinoseki Cultural Center in Ichinoseki, Iwate. In its official Instagram post, the brewery announced its participation and wrote that the second day of the festival had begun.
The event runs from August 21 through 23, 2026. The schedule is 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 21, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on August 22, and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on August 23. With breweries from across Japan gathering at the venue, the festival offered beer fans outside Nagano an opportunity to discover Nagano Minamikaze Beer.
Nagano Minamikaze Beer is a brewpub located about an eight-minute walk from Nagano Station in Nagano City. Its roots go back to a charcoal-grilled yakitori standing bar founded in Tsurumi, Yokohama, in 2010. The business moved to Nagano in 2016, relocated to its current site in December 2021, and obtained its brewing license in April 2022.
The brewpub has a blue, seaside-inspired interior, with counter seats overlooking the brewing tanks. Its brewing philosophy centers on using agricultural products from Shinshu, while the food menu includes Shinshu salmon, lamb sausages from Shinshu-Shinmachi, and locally produced cured ham.
For visitors who missed the festival, the brewery’s Nagano brewpub offers another way to experience its beers, including the atmosphere of a working brewing space and pairings with regional dishes.
