This time, Yonezawa Jacks Brewery is rolling out two Weizens that put Yamagata fruit front and center. The setting is Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, where the brewery is based. Located in Rizan, Yonezawa City, it continues to share updates as a brewery rooted in the local community.

The new release is "PG Weizen," combining peach and plum

The new "PG Weizen" uses the "Kawanakajima" peaches from Kahoku Town, Yamagata Prefecture, and "Soldam" plums. It is designed to layer the rich fruitiness of peach with the tartness of plum, promising a hazy and easy-drinking finish. The hops are Nelson Sauvin and Citra. Specs: 5% ABV, 330 ml, happoshu.

The re-release is "La France Weizen" with 40 kg of La France pears

The re-released "La France Weizen" is a limited edition made with 40 kg of La France pears from the agricultural corporation Matsuguri in Higashine City, Yamagata Prefecture. It is a fruit beer that combines the soft wheat character of a Weizen with the aroma of La France pear, and the hop is Hallertau Blanc. This one is also 5% ABV, 330 ml, and happoshu.

Both products are available only in limited quantities, and the official announcement is urging customers to buy early. For beer fans who want to compare the character of local fruit side by side, this is a release that's hard to miss.
