At Eni-Bru, a craft beer specialty shop in Nakamozu, Osaka, Shizuoka's Hansharo Beer "Soun Real Ale ver." is served from the shop's signature hand pump. It is described as an American pale ale with aromas reminiscent of citrus and grapefruit, plus a sharp bitterness, and as a brand that won the world's top gold award.

The shop is a beer pub located a two-minute walk from Nakamozu Station, and its specialty is gathering craft beers from all over Japan. It also excels at suggesting food pairings suited to each beer's character, and that day it was recommending a dish called "stir-fried chicken harami and bitter melon with yuzu pepper." The idea is to pair a pale ale that goes down easily even in hot weather with a dish that has a gentle bitterness and aromatic character.

Starting May 22, the monthly project "eni-bru Monthly Feature of Craft Beer" will launch "Japanese-Style Beer Selection." The lineup features beers that make use of traditional Japanese ingredients and brewing techniques, and includes the following eight labels.

- Sake yeast / LUCKY7 (CRAFTROCK BREWING)
- Sake lees, yuzu / Wakyo ~ Sake Lees Yuzu Ale (CYORYO Craft Beer)
- Sake yeast / PARALLEL WORLD (Hansharo Beer x Nara Brewing)
- Sake rice / Marihana Yasato (Oyama G Beer)
- Yuko / KAMIKATSU MORNING SUMMER (RISE&WINE Brewing)
- Japanese black tea, sansho / Fuji Rouge7 (fete Mishima Brewery)
- Rice koji, rice, sake yeast / JAPANEASE WHITE No.9 (ORYZAE BREWING)
- Buckwheat / Nihachi Soba Ale TWINS (Yonezawa Jacks Brewery)

With many labels using Japanese ingredients, and with the food pairing policy also leaning Japanese, this should be a must-see for anyone who wants to enjoy tastings alongside food. If you want to spend some time slowly drinking draft beer in Nakamozu, start with "Soun Real Ale ver." first, then visit again after May 22 to try the Japanese-style lineup.
