Eni-Brew, a basement beer pub in Nakamozu, Sakai, Osaka, pre-opened beers from Shimanami Brewery and Kankiku Brewery on Sept. 5 ahead of the Sept. 6 "SHIMANAMI BREWERY × Kankiku BREWERY Double Tap Jack at eni-bru SiblingShowdown!" event. The setup fits the venue's tasting-friendly style: a place to settle in, drink slowly, and compare beers side by side.

Draft lineup


The main taps include Shimanami Brewery's "Strike Pilsner" and "Shimanami Chou Lemon Sour," plus lager-leaning beers such as "Lager no Gyakushuu 01 Smoke Lager," "Dark Lover Lager," and "Hop Step Lager." Kankiku Brewery is represented by "RICE ALE," "IPA," "STOUT Real Ale," "Houjyou Biyori '25 Lager Edition," "Madoromi," "RISING PILSNER #2 Motueka Ver.," and "YOUR KRUSH."

The board also features CRAFT BEER BASE's "BLOND," "Lavender & Chamomile," and "RED IPA," along with "Kohaku Weizen" from Daisen G Beer, "Herun no Hitotoki" from Matsue Beer Bia Hern, "Hikiyama BIACK" from Johana Beer, "Pale Ale" and "Strawberry Sour Ale" from Banri Haru Jozo, "Shiga Kogen IPA Real Ale ver." from Shiga Kogen Beer, and Asahi's "Asahi Nama Beer Maruef." On deck are "AGARI IPA" and "New World Kolsch" from Hansharo Beer, "Sun's Up" and "Human's Drink" from Nomcraft Brewing, "BAGMAN IPA" from CRAFTBANK, "Tsu-chu" from Karuizawa Q, and the house collaboration "Many Hands, One Coast."

Weekend event


The Sept. 6 event adds a full tap takeover, talk sessions, and a raffle. Eni-Brew's regular hours are Tuesday through Sunday, 6 p.m. to midnight, with bottle sales starting at 3 p.m. It is a straightforward place to pair food with a wide cross-section of Japanese craft beer styles.
