MAHOWBREW, brewed in Tsuboya, Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, has unveiled a new beer, "Entry of the Wizards into Valhalla." The brewery obtained its liquor production license in 2024 and, drawing on the craft spirit of Tsuboya and the character of Yachimun pottery culture, has been pursuing beers with distinctive individuality.

This new release is Batch Number 0076, a DDH Oat Cream DIPA. It has an ABV of 8.0%, IBU of 24, FG of 1.022, and SRM of 5. In addition to North Star malt, the recipe uses Malted Oats and Flaked Oats, and further adds lactose, creating a composition aimed at a thick sweetness and creamy texture.

The hops used are Centennial, Idaho7 Cryo, Sabro Cryo, DynaBoost Sabro, and DynaBoost Idaho7. Idaho7 Cryo, Sabro Cryo, and DynaBoost hops are added during the whirlpool stage, and dry hopping is also split into two rounds and used generously. The brewery describes it as featuring a strong aroma reminiscent of peach and coconut, along with a rich, creamy mouthfeel derived from oats.

While staying rooted in Okinawa, MAHOWBREW has been presenting beers that go deep into aroma and mouthfeel design. This latest release is also one to watch for its juicy, hazy character, along with a finish that emphasizes the thickness supported by oats and lactose.
