Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE sits on a quiet side street in Shimomeguro, a short walk from Meguro Station. The bar focuses on domestic draft craft beer and wine, with creative dishes built around local ingredients.

On its Aug. 2 post, the shop said it would be open from 2:00 p.m. to midnight and announced one new keg: Kyoto Brewing’s “Sharaku” Extra Special Bitter. The beer is presented as an ESB with a malty core, hop aroma, and enough room for its character to shift as the temperature rises.

The rest of the lineup spans a wide range of styles: “Ifudodo” from Kankiku Brewery x The Dodo House, Dainichi G Beer’s India Pale Ale, Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s “Nichinan Lemon Squeezed Session Hazy IPA,” Mugizakkoku Kobo’s “Tranquil Ale,” Harvestmoon’s Schwarz, and Mahou Brewing’s “Depths of Muspellheim.”

In one list, the bar moves from bitter to hazy to roasty, making the day’s draft board easy to read for beer fans. It is the kind of update that fits THE DODO HOUSE’s style: beer-first, but broad enough to invite a second round with a different profile.
