Craft Beer & Wine THE DODO HOUSE in Meguro updated its taps on August 6. The pub focuses on Japanese craft beer, Japanese wine, and Japanese spirits, alongside Japanese-Western fusion dishes, and its counter-and-table layout makes it an easy place to settle in for a quiet drink.

The highlight is the limited return of last year’s anniversary beer, “Hakuchudo.” Brewed as a collaboration between Kankiku Brewery and THE DODO HOUSE, it is presented as a wheat lager with a soft wheat profile, malt sweetness, and a measured hop bite. The same collaboration’s “Ifuudoou” is also on tap, making side-by-side comparison possible.

Other beers listed include Kyoto Brewing’s “Sharaku Extra Special Bitter,” Daisen G Beer’s “India Pale Ale,” Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s “Nichinan Lemon Squeeze Session Hazy IPA,” Mugizakkoku Kobo’s “Tranquil Ale,” and Mahou Brewing’s “Depths of Muspelheim.” With seven taps in rotation, the lineup spans a wide range of flavors, from hop-forward to fruity and clean, making it suitable for a quick stop after work or a longer tasting session.
