MAHOWBREW, the craft brewery based in Tsuboya, Naha, Okinawa, has released Huginn, a new Czech Pale Lager. Inspired by the traditional lager style of the Czech Republic, the beer focuses on clarity, drinkability, and a balanced combination of malt character and hop aroma.

Huginn is brewed with Czech hops and yeast, and is fermented with yeast from southern Czechia. According to the brewery’s description, the beer offers a clear and pure palate, followed by mellow malt flavors reminiscent of honey and fresh bread. Saaz hops add a gentle floral aroma, while the finish remains dry and refreshing.

The beer has an alcohol content of 4.0% ABV and 41 IBU, with a 340ml package. Its relatively light strength makes it suitable for an easy-drinking lager, while the bitterness gives the beer enough structure to remain expressive from the first sip through the finish.

MAHOWBREW is located in Tsuboya, an area of Naha known as the birthplace of Okinawan yachimun pottery. The brewery describes its approach as carrying forward the spirit of craftsmanship rooted in the neighborhood, creating beers with both strength and vivid character. Alongside IPAs and gose-style beers, the brewery has explored a wide range of styles, and Huginn represents its take on a classic European lager tradition.

With floral hop aromatics, soft bready malt, and a crisp finish, Huginn should pair naturally with food and suit relaxed drinking occasions. It is a beer for those who enjoy the subtle details of lager as much as its refreshment.
