Nara Brewing to Hold One-Day Open Day on March 14, Bringing Together Five Shops from Inside and Outside the Prefecture
Nara Brewing will open its brewery taproom for one day only on Saturday, March 14, 2026. In an announcement released on March 5, the brewery revealed five vendors, including food, drinks, and a flower shop. Only a few factory tour slots remain, and visitors are being asked to use public transportation.
Nara Brewing, the Nara-based craft brewery, will hold its spring staple event, "TapRoom Open day," on Saturday, March 14. The venue is the company’s brewery at 1-8-14 Kitanosho Nishimachi, Nara City. Event hours are 10:00 to 17:00, with last orders at 16:30.
What stands out in this announcement is the range of ways to enjoy beer alongside food. With not only food but also chai and bouquets on offer, the taproom is designed to expand from a place to drink into a place to spend time.
Vendor Lineup
- `knot` (hot dogs, donuts)
- `FOUR STAR PHO` (pho, snacks)
- `Akaha Chai` (chai)
- `Kore Kara Flowers` (bouquets)
- `KISSA` (snacks)
In particular, the addition of warm noodle dishes and spiced drinks makes this a lineup well suited for a longer stay. Even considering the weather in mid-March, it is a practical selection that should make it easy to move between indoor and outdoor spaces while enjoying the event.
Brewery Background
Nara Brewing was founded in July 2017. Based in Nara, it has focused on craft beer making that values a wide range of styles. Its official introduction also makes clear its stance of "never compromising on quality," while keeping an eye on a broad spectrum of expressions, including bitterness, sourness, and fruit usage. The company name, which includes the place name Nara, reflects its intent to share beer culture born in Nara with the wider world.
Seen in that context, this Open Day is not just a sales opportunity, but a real-world point of contact connecting the local community, visitors, and the culture surrounding beer. In addition, only a few slots remain for factory tours. Parking will not be available on the day, so the use of public transportation is effectively required.
