A Nara-grown Belgian wit
Nara Brewing Co., based in Nara City, has announced the first shipment stores for PHILHARMONY, a Belgian wit brewed with Yamatotachibana grown in Nara Prefecture and lemongrass from Shimoichi-cho in Yoshino District. The brewery says it uses both the fruit and peel of the citrus fruit, aiming for a beer that feels bright, aromatic and refreshing.
The brewery operates from Kita-no-sho Nishi-machi in Nara and has built a reputation for beers that draw on local ingredients and regional character. PHILHARMONY follows that approach closely.
The first shipment list, published as of August 21, includes draft accounts such as Himalaya Table, Beer & Cafe Berg, Komurobiiru, Beer Cafe Mankan, Mikkeller Kiosk/Bar, HOPMAN, tad bottle and bar, DIG THE LINE and Bungalow. Can accounts include Isetan Shinjuku, Nara Mahoroba-kan, Agriculture and Fermentation Zen, Kintetsu Department Store Nara, and BEERSONIC, among others.
Distribution covers Tokyo, Kanagawa, Kyoto, Nara, Aichi and Fukuoka. Nara Brewing Co. says online sales will begin at noon on August 28.
