Departing for Nakano Shikinomori Park

Forest Brewing will set up at the "Oedo Beer Festival 2026 Spring," held from May 20 to 24 in the event area of Nakano Shikinomori Park. On its official Instagram, the brewery posted images of its beer truck and staff heading to the venue, and also revealed that this will be its third booth at Nakano Oedo. The post also says they will take part with beers including limited releases, and expresses gratitude for the connections built through previous appearances.

Forest Brewing, based in Kawasaki Town, Miyagi Prefecture, is a brewery that began with lumber production and has been brewing "craft beer made with firewood" since May 2023 in an environment fed by snowmelt water from the Zao mountain range. On its official website, the brewery offers beers with names evoking forests and landscapes, such as Kicori no Pilsner, Asagiri no Helles, Takibi no Dunkel, Komorebi no Pale Ale, and Yuhi no IPA.

A Beer for That Day

The Oedo Beer Festival is known as an urban event that brings together craft breweries from across Japan, and it is a popular place where visitors enjoy tasting different beers side by side. When breweries with a clear background in local water and production methods line up like Forest Brewing, drinkers can take in not only the flavor but also the story of the place itself.

Attention is likely to focus on which beers the brewery will bring this time. From a refreshing lager like Kicori no Pilsner to a hop-forward beer like Yuhi no IPA, this is a chance to check out the distinctive character that defines Forest Brewing.
