The return of a collaborative Gose layered with Okinawan ingredients
On March 25, 2026, Mahou Brew unveiled Cleopatra #2 as "New Release Cleopatra." It is an anniversary collaboration beer with the Beer Bomb beer bar in Shinjuku, and the brewery says it is the well-received second batch.
Specs and ingredients
The style is Imperial Gose w/ Pineapple, Kabuchii, Coconut, Okinawan Cinnamon. According to official information, it has ABV 9.0% and IBU 10. In addition to Pilsner malt, wheat, and sugars, it uses Galaxy hops and FERMO Brew Acid yeast. The adjuncts include sea salt, pineapple from Okinawa Prefecture, kabuchii, coconut, and Okinawan cinnamon (karaki).
It also features sea salt from Yagaji Island and coconut aromatic water distilled by Mizuho Shuzo. The design emphasizes layered notes of sweet-tart fruit, bright citrus aromatics, spice, and salt, delivering both satisfying depth and refreshment despite its high alcohol content.

Release begins on March 26 (Thu) at 3:00 p.m. It will be sold through the wholesale online store for businesses and the consumer online store for the general public. It is also scheduled to be tapped at Mahou Brew's directly operated taproom, with take-home sales available as well.
Brewery background
Mahou Brew is based in Tsuboya, Naha, Okinawa, and brews in a district known for its yachimun pottery culture. On its official site, the brewery states a policy of not locking itself into a fixed house lineup, instead offering a broad range of styles such as Gose and IPA that suit Okinawa's climate and cuisine. This Cleopatra #2 release can also be seen as a strongly regional collaboration that symbolizes that approach.
