A new interpretation of the collaboration with Kaze no Mori
Nara Brewing, based in Nara City, has announced the first shipment destinations for its collaboration beer "UNDERWATER:LUMINOUS" with the sake brand Kaze no Mori. In the sixth year of this project, the brewery continues to use the sake yeast, brewing water, and soyashi water used in "UNDERWATER," while adding a new interpretation in the brewing process this time.
Flavor highlights
This time, "LUMINOUS" is crafted so that the malt-derived sweetness remains more distinctly, and the acidity is designed to come through clearly as well. The finished beer has a refreshing aroma reminiscent of honey-filled apples and ramune, with a sweet-and-sour mouthfeel supported by moderate carbonation. Nara Brewing presents it as a beer that can also be enjoyed side by side with the regular "UNDERWATER."
Sales information
As of March 28, the first shipments are to liquor retailers only. From Hokkaido to Tokushima, they will be shipped in sequence to specialty shops, liquor stores, and the Japanese and Western alcohol sections of department stores. Sales conditions and arrival dates vary by store, so please check directly before purchasing.
At Nara Brewing's online store, sales are scheduled to start at noon on Friday, April 3. Nara Brewing has its brewery in Kitanosho Nishimachi, Nara City, and while rooted in the local community, it has expanded the scope of its expression through collaborations. This "UNDERWATER:LUMINOUS" is a clear reflection of that approach.
