Painanpo

Tokaido BEER Kawasaki Shuku Factory, based in Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki City, presents itself on its official site with the line "This beer contains KAWASAKI." Its brewing concept is rooted in the city itself, inviting drinkers to experience Kawasaki through four faces: the Tokaido road, Kawasaki Shuku, a barley field, and a factory.

In the Instagram post, the brewery introduced its summer-limited fruit beer 'Painanpo.' The beer uses generously pureed ripe pineapple that has been fully ripened under the sun, and it comes in at 5% ABV. The post describes it as having a refreshingly crisp drinking profile that goes down smoothly in the heat, with a taste that evokes a tropical mood.

Tokaido BEER has long built its lineup around the memories and character of Kawasaki, balancing regular beers with seasonal releases. 'Painanpo' fits naturally into that approach: it puts seasonal fruit front and center while keeping the finish light and approachable. As a Kawasaki-made craft beer, it shows how the brewery continues to translate place and season into a single glass, this time through pineapple.
