Nara Brewing Co. Announces Initial Shipping Locations for DOUBLE SWISHER
Nara Brewing Co. has announced the initial shipping locations for DOUBLE SWISHER, a collaboration with Nara specialty coffee roaster ANY B&B + COFFEE. The beer aims to translate the light, refreshing character of an espresso tonic into beer.
Nara Brewing Co., a craft brewery based in Nara City, has introduced `DOUBLE SWISHER`, a collaboration with specialty coffee roaster ANY B&B + COFFEE. The concept is straightforward: recreate the lightness and refreshing finish of an espresso tonic in beer form. The beer is being released in both cans and draft, and Nara Brewing Co.'s online store will begin sales at noon on August 21.
`DOUBLE SWISHER` is an espresso-tonic-inspired beer with 4.5% ABV and 8 IBU. The recipe uses East Kent Golding and Merkur hops, Pale Ale Malt, plus lactose, coffee, and roasted barley. It is built around coffee-soaked character and pours a pale amber color with a clean, bright appearance.
The flavor design is layered. Coffee beans roasted by ANY B&B + COFFEE's barista and roaster Yutaro were selected to suit the beer's profile. Notes from Uganda natural beans add a subtle fruit character, while a two-layer blend of light and dark roast brings together apricot-like acidity and coffee-like toastiness. Yeast-driven orange nuances lift the aroma, and the finish stays crisp and tonic-like.
For beer drinkers, the appeal is that this is not simply a coffee beer with heavy roast character. It is built for easy drinking, with coffee and beer working together without losing freshness. That balance is what makes DOUBLE SWISHER a release worth watching for fans of both craft beer and specialty coffee.
