Nara Brewing announces first shipment retailers for KUSANAGI
Nara Brewing Co. has announced the first retail destinations for KUSANAGI, a Belgian witbier brewed with Suruga Elegant citrus from Shizuoka and coriander from Bulgaria. The collaboration brings in leading beer-science expertise and aims for a refreshing beer that works well with food.
Brewing background
Nara Brewing Co., based in Kitanosho-Nishimachi in Nara City, announced the first shipment retailers for its Belgian witbier KUSANAGI. The beer is made with Suruga Elegant citrus from Shizuoka and coriander from Bulgaria, and the brewery describes it as a refreshing, food-friendly brew. The project also involved a leading figure in Japanese beer science, along with a BET adviser who supports breweries with production know-how.
Retail rollout
As of June 6, the first shipment is going mainly to liquor shops and specialty retailers, with arrival and sales timing varying by store. The list spans a broad area: Tokyo retailers such as Caliquors Tokyo, Isetan Shinjuku, and BEER STAND Stoop; Kansai locations including DIG THE LINE, JR Kyoto Isetan, TAKAMURA Wine & Coffee Roasters, and Hanshin Umeda; and local Nara outlets such as Kintetsu Department Store Nara and Nishinokyo Jizake-dokoro Kitora. The rollout suggests that Nara Brewing continues to reach both urban craft-beer customers and regional liquor specialists.
About the brewery
Founded in 2017, Nara Brewing frames its work around brewing a wide range of beer styles from its base in Nara. The company emphasizes quality and the idea that every drinker may still find a beer they enjoy. KUSANAGI reflects that approach through both its ingredient choices and its collaborative brewing process.
