Event Overview

Faló Brewing will hold its first brewery open day on Saturday, April 18, from 11:00 to 15:00 at the former Sakamoto Junior High School in Sakamoto, Yamamoto Town. In its post, the brewery invites visitors to enjoy beer while taking in the atmosphere of the former Sakamoto Junior High School and Yamamoto Town.

Venue Features

Faló Brewing is a brewery based in Yamamoto Town, Miyagi Prefecture, and its major distinguishing feature is that it uses the former Sakamoto Junior High School building. The brand name “Faló” means “campfire” in Italian, and it is introduced as a name meant to evoke a place where people naturally gather and talk. This event, where visitors can enjoy beer in a space rich with school memories, should offer a chance to experience that concept firsthand.

What to Expect on the Day

On the day of the event, the following will be available:
- Draft beer
- Canned beer
- Glasses
- T-shirts

Light snacks will be available, but if you want a full meal, the nearby "Yume Ichigo no Sato" is recommended. Visitors are asked to take their own trash home.

Notes for Visitors

The venue will be a shared space used not only by Faló Brewing but also by other businesses. Space inside the school building is limited, some areas are no-shoes zones, and smoking is prohibited throughout the grounds. Parking is also limited, so public transportation is strongly recommended whenever possible.

Access

The venue is at Sakamoto Sanzaku 1, Yamamoto Town, Watari District, Miyagi Prefecture. It is a 5-minute walk from Sakamoto Station on the JR Joban Line, and entry is available from the east side of the former Sakamoto Junior High School building. This is an event worth noting as it presents a new way to enjoy craft beer while preserving the local scenery and the atmosphere of the old school building.
