Event details
Banrinoharu Brewery and campsite Roku (campsite麓) will hold “Hop Harvest & ‘yugure’ Brewing 2026” on July 20, 2026. In the post, the partners say the hops, trained in spring and now growing steadily, will be harvested as fresh hops and brewed into a pale ale at Banrinoharu Brewery in Tondabayashi, Osaka. A post-event gathering is also planned at the Banrinoharu beer hall.
How to join
Participation is free. The event offers three options: join the harvest and bonfire session, join only the brewing session, or join both. Registration is handled only by campsite Roku, not by Banrinoharu Brewery. The post also asks participants to take care with heat, since both harvesting and brewing will take place in summer conditions.
About Banrinoharu Brewery
Banrinoharu Brewery is a craft brewery in Tondabayashi, Osaka. According to its official website, the brewery was created by renovating a former sake brewery that had been known since the early Meiji era for the “Banrinoharu” sake brand. The brewery says it uses well water drawn from groundwater sourced by Mt. Kongo, and presents itself as a place where local history and fresh beer meet.
“yugure” is a long-running collaboration built around campsite Roku’s hop-growing project. By sharing the process from cultivation to harvest, brewing, and the eventual opening event, the project turns the ingredients of beer into a seasonal experience. Brewing with freshly harvested hops adds a distinctly local and seasonal character to the beer.
