Mya-Brew in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya, Aichi, announced on Instagram that it has tapped Let's Beer Works' "Southbound IPA." In the post, the beer is described as evoking the refreshing feeling of wind blowing through an orchard in the Southern Hemisphere, with lot-selected Nelson Sauvin used as the main hop.
For this hop selection, they say they chose a lot with a complex fruit character that goes beyond a simple white-grape aroma. The flavor is also striking for the strong grape notes that spread the moment you take a sip, and by layering in Rakau hops, the profile gains additional stone-fruit aromas reminiscent of apricot and peach. The finish is clean, and the beer is crafted with a balance between hop-forward brightness and drinkability in mind.
That day's draft lineup also included Mya-Brew's "nyight ニャイト," "Sunny, Sometimes Kabosu," and "Papipupe Leon," along with a collaboration beer, "sakura paw pads / Sakura Hazy Sour." In addition, Let's Beer Works' "HEFE WEISSE" and "HOPPY HUE," as well as collaboration beers with other breweries, were also on offer, creating a lineup that let drinkers compare multiple distinct personalities side by side. Mya-Brew continues to suggest an everyday beer for Nagoya beer lovers by mixing its own brews with guest beers like these.
