Yatsugatake Brewery, based in Hokuto, Yamanashi, is selling Rock Doppelbock, a limited lager brewed to mark the 29th anniversary of its Yatsugatake Beer Touchdown brand. The beer was unveiled at the anniversary festival on June 6 and is now listed in the brewery's official shop.

Brewed on February 8, transferred to secondary fermentation on February 27, and matured for more than three months, the beer uses the largest malt bill in the brewery's national-release lineup and reaches 8% ABV. Its dark brown appearance, toasty malt sweetness, and layers of cacao and dried-fruit-like notes make it a full-bodied beer.

Perle, Hersbrucker, and Saaz hops add a refined bitterness and aroma. The beer is described as smooth on the palate, but with a firm alcoholic punch on the way down. The official shop lists 3-, 6-, and 12-bottle sets, making it accessible for both festival visitors and those who could not attend.
