Far Yeast Brewing has released Saruhashi Lager, a collaboration beer created for Yui MUSUBI, a new souvenir-style shop run by clothing store operator oss_linkage in Otsuki, Yamanashi.

The shop opened in May 2026 near the entrance to Saruhashi, one of Japan's three famous unusual bridges. According to the brewery's post, the collaboration started when the shop asked for a beer that could serve as a featured local souvenir item. The result is Saruhashi Lager, a beer intended to become a new specialty product for Otsuki City.

The beer is built on a clean Far Yeast lager base. It is listed as a Lager with 5.0% ABV, 20 IBU, and Citra hops. Its ingredients include barley malt, hops, lemon, ginger, and lily buds. Far Yeast says the recipe was designed to match the rich aroma of lily buds with bright citrus from lemon and a refreshing lift from ginger, creating an easy-drinking and crisp profile.

As an OEM product, Saruhashi Lager is sold only at Yui MUSUBI. Far Yeast Brewing, based in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi, has long worked on regionally rooted beers, and this release continues that approach by tying the beer to a specific place and local visit experience. For beer fans traveling to Saruhashi, it is a straightforward but distinctive collaboration worth noting.
