Far Yeast Brewing Releases Second Collaboration with Tobu Railway's SPACIA X
Far Yeast Brewing will roll out a collaboration beer with Tobu Railway's flagship limited express, SPACIA X: "SPACIA X Blond, Car No. 1 Edition 2nd." This golden ale, brewed at the Genryu Brewery in Kosuge Village, will be served onboard starting May 2, and canned versions will begin shipping sequentially from May 11.
Far Yeast Brewing will release the collaboration beer "SPACIA X Blond, Car No. 1 Edition 2nd" with Tobu Railway's flagship limited express SPACIA X. This beer takes the drink long enjoyed at GOEN CAFE SPACIA X and the directly operated Far Yeast Tokyo and also offers it as a limited-edition canned product.
This initiative is part of Tobu Railway's "Cross Beer Project," which plans and co-creates craft beer served on SPACIA X with breweries across Japan. The ingredients include barley malt from Tochigi Prefecture, a blessing of the Tobu Railway line, and hops from Yamanashi Prefecture, where Far Yeast Brewing is based, resulting in a golden ale that brings out the character of the ingredients. The specs are ABV 5.0%, IBU 12, and the hops are Chinook and Cascade.
Far Yeast Brewing has been sending out beer from the source area of the Tama River, Tokyo's water source, based at its "Genryu Brewery" in Kosuge Village, Yamanashi Prefecture. Brewing in the natural environment of Kosuge Village has been a major backdrop supporting the brand's identity. This collaboration with SPACIA X is also positioned as a project that connects local ingredients and railway culture.
Serving will begin sequentially onboard SPACIA X from May 2. Canned beer will be shipped sequentially to liquor stores, restaurants, and beer bars from May 11. As a limited beer that adds color to the train travel experience, it will be available both onboard and at retail.
