Niigata-based Gangi Brewing in Joetsu City has released a new beer, EASY GROVE. According to the announcement, this is a Session Hazy IPA made mainly with New Zealand Rakau hops, and it has an alcohol content of 4.5%. The brewery describes it as a beer designed with a balance that makes it easy to keep drinking without getting fatigued.

The defining feature of this beer is the aroma profile brought by the Rakau hops. The brewery highlights strong fruit notes such as pineapple and apricot, along with a fresh citrus impression and a subtle woodiness that tightens the finish. It is a beer that aims to combine the soft mouthfeel typical of hazy styles with an ABV that stays light and easy to drink.

The specs are IBU 7.8 and EBC 3.8. The grist uses Pilsner, Golden Promise, Naked Oat Malt, Carapils, and Wheat Malt Light, while the hop bill combines Rakau with Citra and Nelson Sauvin. It is being released in 15L keg and 330ml bottle formats, and it will also be available on tap at the taproom from the weekend, with bottles available for purchase as well.
