Baeren Brewery Serves Limited Yuzu Wit for Nihonbashi Takashimaya’s “Great Iwate Exhibition”
On March 26, Baeren Brewery announced on Instagram that it had completed a limited beer for “Nihonbashi Takashimaya Great Iwate Exhibition 2026” called “Iwate Exhibition Limited Yuzu Wit.” It is a Belgian-style white beer made with the peel and juice of domestically grown yuzu, and it will be served in limited quantities at the venue.
Baeren Brewery, based in Morioka, Iwate Prefecture, has announced a limited-brew beer for the “Great Iwate Exhibition 2026” to be held in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. According to the post, the product is called “Iwate Exhibition Limited Yuzu Wit.” Brewing and kegging have already been completed, and the brewery says it will bring the beer to Nihonbashi Takashimaya fresh from the tank.
This limited beer is a Belgian-style white beer made with the peel and juice of domestically grown yuzu. It uses unmalted wheat and is designed to have a light, crisp drinking character. Bitterness is kept low, with the goal of creating a fruity beer that is easy to keep drinking without tiring the palate. No flavorings are used, another notable feature, as the beer emphasizes the gentle citrus aroma derived from yuzu. The brewery also says that a small amount of an unfiltered version has been prepared.
The “Nihonbashi Takashimaya Great Iwate Exhibition 2026,” where the beer will be served, runs from Wednesday, April 1 to Monday, April 6. Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (until 6:00 p.m. on the final day), and the venue is the 8th floor of the Main Building at Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. The post clearly states that quantities are limited and that service will end once the beer is sold out, so arriving early would be the realistic move.
Baeren Brewery, based in Morioka, is a brewery that champions classic European-style beer making. This project also ties in with Iwate ingredients and producers, clearly showing a structure that brings a local beer to the Tokyo area. Beyond its rarity as an event beer, it is also worth noting as a limited release that lets drinkers experience Baeren’s distinctive brewing philosophy.
