Choshi Beer launches Choshi Ale at all 92 Sushi Choushimaru stores
Choshi Beer’s amber ale, Choshi Ale, is now being sold at all 92 Sushi Choushimaru locations from July 24. The beer is brewed with fish dishes in mind, and a limited collaboration sticker is offered with each order while supplies last.
A recent Instagram update noted that 10 days had passed since the launch of Choshi Beer’s Choshi Ale at Sushi Choushimaru. The brewery, run by Choshi Cheers in Choshi City, Chiba, has been building beers around the area’s fishing and food culture.
Choshi Ale is an amber ale designed to pair with fish. It comes in a 330 ml bottle and has an ABV of 5%. Its profile is described as toasty, mildly bitter, and clean on the finish, with a flavor balance meant to complement sashimi, sushi, and grilled fish.
The new retail expansion covers all 92 Sushi Choushimaru stores. Sales started on July 24, 2026, following pilot sales at P-City Nakano, Shinjuku Subnade, and Standing Sushi Bar Yasuke at Ecute Akabane Minami. To mark the launch, customers who order Choshi Ale receive a Choshi Beer x Choushimaru collaboration sticker, one per bottle, limited to the first 100 per store.
Choshi Beer has built its brand around pairing local seafood and regional character with craft beer. This rollout gives the brewery a broader stage to present a beer made for fish-focused dining.
