Three kegs tapped in Inage-Kaigan

On Sunday, May 31, WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE (Mihama Base) in Inage-Kaigan lined up three newly tapped kegs. In step with the early-summer temperatures, the selection featured beers that combine hop aroma with easy drinkability, making it a lineup that is fun to choose from. Note that Choshi Beer’s Ogino Ale, which had been a topic of conversation right up until just before this, has sold out.

Beers on tap

- Surly Mosh Pit Hazy IPA
A revised version of Surly’s recipe, based on One Man Moshpit. It is a Hazy IPA distinguished by tropical fruit and pineapple notes from Amarillo, Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe. With 7.2% ABV and 72 IBU, it also has plenty of heft.

- Pizza Port Next Horizon IPA
An IPA with a distinctly San Diego character, featuring striking citrus contours such as pomelo, persimmon, fresh grapefruit, Meyer lemon, blood orange, and papaya peel. It’s light and crisp, making it an easy fit for a hot day.

- Ise Kadoya Beer Mr.DANK
A DDH West Coast IPA with a clear light-gold appearance, layered with dank aromas, berries, tropical notes, and a hint of diesel. The bitterness is firm, but the finish is clean, making it the kind of beer you can keep drinking pint after pint.

Mihama Base is a specialty shop where you can thoroughly enjoy draft craft beer in Inage-Kaigan. Since it also handles bottle and can takeout, you can enjoy tasting on-site as well as choosing beers to take home. On a Sunday afternoon, tasting three beers with different hop expressions made it a lineup where the differences in style were easy to see, even though all three were IPAs.
