Three new drafts for the weekend

WORLD BEER&DINING MIHAMA BASE, a craft beer specialist in Inage-Kaigan, Chiba, has opened three new kegs. The selection spans tropical double IPA, silky New Zealand-style hazy pale ale, and classic West Coast IPA.

Coronado Big Weekend DIPA leads the lineup at 8.8% ABV. Its tropical, juicy and floral hop character is balanced by a classic edge, while the finish is notably easy-drinking for a double IPA.

West Coast Brewing Safety Unit is a 5.5% ABV NZ Hazy Pale Ale brewed exclusively with New Zealand hops. Peach, apricot, pineapple and mango notes meet a lemon-like freshness. Oats and wheat contribute a silky texture, while the finish remains crisp.

Firestone Walker Union Jack is a 7.0% ABV West Coast IPA with 60 IBUs. Grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, apricot and citrus flavors are supported by pale malt sweetness, creating a firm but balanced hop profile.

A broad draft selection

The day’s nine-tap lineup also includes GUINNESS, KIRIN HEARTLAND, Hoegaarden White, Societe The Labyrinth, West Coast Brewing 3rd Shift, and Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA. The range runs from approachable classics to a 14.0% imperial stout brewed with hazelnut, vanilla beans and cacao nibs.

MIHAMA BASE is located in Takasu, Mihama-ku, Chiba City. It is open from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and also offers bottle and can takeout. Tap availability may change as kegs are emptied.
