Baeren Brewery (Morioka, Iwate) announced on Instagram the start of sales for its collaboration beer with Sanriku Railway, "Baeren San Tetsu Premium Lager 2026." Now in its fifth year, the project is being introduced as a pilsner with a fruity, lively hop aroma.

The label features a scene of a Sanriku Railway train running with the morning sun in the background. As the product name suggests, it has a premium-feeling design, and is presented as a beer that also suits moments spent looking out over the Sanriku coast.

The product overview is as follows.

- Ingredients: Malt (brewed overseas), hops
- Style: Pilsner
- Alcohol content: 4.5%
- Suggested retail price: 469 yen (tax included)
- Main sales outlets: Kitayama Factory direct sales shop, Baeren web shop, Sanriku Railway directly operated store "Santetsuya," Sanriku Railway online shop "Santetsuya," supermarkets in the prefecture, and others

In addition, part of the sales from this product will be donated to Sanriku Railway. For Baeren, which has inherited brewing equipment dating back more than 100 years and has been crafting European-style beer from Morioka, Iwate, this collaboration with the local railway is also drawing attention as a project that connects the appeal of the region through beer.
