Nagi no Ne Brewing shared an update on Instagram as it approached the one-year mark since its corporate launch. In the post, it looked back on its first year as "a year spent moving nonstop toward making a dream come true," and candidly wrote that even now, in the fourth month since starting the business, it is still going through trial and error.

One striking detail was that the annual mileage on its personal car, used to get around the field, had surpassed 50,000 kilometers. Running a small brewery often means handling not only brewing, but also sales, delivery, and quality checks. From the post, it is clear that the daily travel and accumulation of practical work are directly tied to the brewery's progress.

The brewery also mentioned challenges such as "revisiting the brewing process" and "how the company should be run." Rather than simply increasing production, it seems to be taking steps to balance both flavor development and business operations. Based in Kushima, Miyazaki Prefecture, as a "small mountain brewery," it appears the first year was one spent with a strong awareness of steady, long-term craftsmanship in the region.

As for "Yamabiko Ale," introduced as a seasonal product, the brewery is currently considering the brewing schedule in light of changing weather patterns and plans to pause it temporarily depending on seasonal conditions. In other words, the current batch is likely to be a bottle at a turning point before the next chapter.

In this post, the brewery not only reported its anniversary, but also outlined lineup adjustments for the next season. As Nagi no Ne Brewing enters its second year, attention will continue to focus on how it balances its core beers with seasonal brewing.
